Australian Catholic University stands for meaningful education, rewarding research, and life-changing community engagement – a university focused on embedding excellence, valuing the pursuit of knowledge, human dignity and the common good. In 2019 they underwent a brand refresh, and articulated a new ethos and design language. Our team’s challenge was to evolve this thinking with a digital articulation, developing a design language that set out a foundation for their new digital platforms. We set down some foundational wires and flows of a new website along with a bold new direction for the UI. We spent time crafting not only a design system but also strongly emphasised the use of motion to further convey this sense of emotion throughout the site.
